I started D.I.P.ism with a mission to change how we approach death, grief, and end-of-life care, especially within African and Caribbean communities. Over the years, I’ve been honoured to support individuals, families, and professionals, helping them navigate these sensitive topics with compassion and understanding.
Ever since I began my journey, I’ve had the opportunity to:
Create impactful resources like My Life’s Tapestry and Tapestries of Grief, guiding people through the complex emotions of loss.
Found the Federation of African & Caribbean Funeral Operatives (FACFO), offering culturally specific end-of-life services.
Provide training and support to aspiring grief practitioners, helping them develop the skills to offer meaningful care.

"Meaningful Support"
"
"One thing is certain in life: everyone must face the fact that when we drop the body suit, we journey on to the next level of existence. Laura has provided such meaningful support, and I’m going to share her details with all my contacts. Her guidance has been invaluable on this path of understanding life and death. Thank you, Laura."
"Made The Day Go Perfectly"
"Laura was our coordinator for my father's funeral, and she was efficient and warm at all times. Naturally, it's a hard time, and she really helped make the day go perfectly. Thank you very much, Laura. You did a great job, and the day couldn't have gone better. Thank you from me and my dad."
